With Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, John Krasinski. But the complicated fact is they're divorced and he's remarried. "It's Complicated" is perfectly plausible if you are only willing to believe that Meryl Streep sells a whole lot of muffins. When It’s Complicated first came out, the kitchen was one of the most talked about rooms in the Mediterranean-style home featured in the movie.

(I've been to Oprah's place, which is only a little nicer.) Now the real house where the exterior scenes for the movie were filmed is on the market for $12 million in Thousand Oaks. Ivory walls paint color, picture window covered in bamboo roman shade, ivory kitchen cabinets with marble countertops, kitchen island with marble top, backless counter stools with white & yellow awning stripe slipcovers and black tapered pendants. Even though it isn’t overly grand, it had that special something that drew you in. The star of It’s Complicated: a 1920’s Mediterreanean house in Santa Barbara that Meryl Streep remodels with the help of her architect turned lover Steve Martin. As with all Nancy Meyers films, the home sets are incredible - from the colour schemes and signature pieces to the little treasures that tell you more about her characters.
Who could forget the Spanish hacienda-style ranch that Meryl Streep owned in the romantic comedy It’s Complicated with the tile roof, the wide veranda, the beamed and vaulted ceilings in the living room, or the sumptuous kitchen?. Directed by Nancy Meyers. When attending their son's college graduation, a couple reignite the spark in their relationship. Film writer Nancy Meyers says that since so much of the movie is filmed inside the house, she wanted Streep to look good in it.

Nancy Meyers, the writer and director, knows how to create kitchens that truly feel like the heart of the home. She plays a bakery/restaurant owner who lives in Santa Barbara in a sprawling hacienda on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, set on grounds approached by a sweeping circular drive.

Last week, we saw a screening of Nancy Meyers’ It’s Complicated (thanks to Universal Pictures, an RM advertiser) and fell in love with the idyllic Santa Barbara Spanish colonial house, complete with kitchen garden and potting shed (shown in the photos below), owned by Meryl Streep’s character. It's complicated Kitchen - I love this kitchen so much!
It's Complicated has to be my number one go-to film for its story and style. It’s Complicated – the main living room.
