The Dayton Flyers are the intercollegiate athletic teams of the University of Dayton of Dayton, Ohio. The Flyers are coached by Rick Chamberlin. Dayton's first football team was fielded in 1905. The official 2020 Football Roster for the University of Dayton Flyers The team competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Pioneer Football League. Our basketball teams reached the Elite Eight in 2014 (men) and 2015 (women). The team plays its home games at the 11,000 seat Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio. A lawsuit filed by a former University of Dayton student claiming the school covered up allegations of football team hazing can now proceed, as ruled by a visiting judge Friday.
