The Confederacy arrested pro-Union civilians in the South at about the same rate as the Union arrested pro-Confederate civilians in the North. Shattered Union is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1. Every one of its partial or complete member states are states that had seceded and joined the Confederate States of America in the previous American Civil War, except for Kentucky, which the CSA claimed as a state and included among the 13 stars on its national flag. The Confederacy actively used the army to arrest people suspected of loyalty to the United States. Shattered Nation takes readers into history as it might have been. A single telegram radically alters the course of the war. In Shattered Union, a number of factions are vying for dominance of the former United States. Historian Mark Neely found 4,108 names of men arrested and estimated a much larger total. In 2008, David Jefferson Adams has been elected as the 44th President of the United States following a disputed election and a tie vote in the Electoral College (and subsequent tie-breaker by the United States House of Representatives), becoming the most hated and unpopular president in U.S. history. Each faction has its own unique unit, powers, and starting territory. I wouldn't say it was the best of it's kind but it's still good if you like some of the older style strategy games. Shattered Union is set in an alternate history version of the United States.
